ENGLISH VERSION

     Catalan ancient last name that appears documented with the forms Texidó and Texidor.  Both modalities derive from the catalan noun "teixidor", with the meaning of  "who has the trade to weave".  Appeared already spread thru the Principality of Catalonia on the XVI century, so is stated in the "Fogatge" of 1553.

     Arms:  On silver, an azure bell, with a golden clapper.
